Multihouse Stenløse
The fundamental vision for the multihouse is to strengthen the sense of community in the local area and increase the availability of recreational activities for children of all ages, including the local scouts. It is also a key focus of the project that people with dementia in the local area, the “dementia group,” have the opportunity to experience nature through this space, as it strengthens the daily lives of those affected by dementia and improves their quality of life.

Human and nature in symbiosis
The entire facility is set in a scenic natural environment and consists of a communal meeting hut with associated terraces and integrated outdoor spaces, a bonfire hut, nature-based fitness equipment for fitness enthusiasts, a "packed lunch hut," a birdwatching tower, and a platform extending into a small lake. These facilities can be used by local residents, including daycare providers and others who wish to engage in play, games, walks, and contemplative stays.
Collaboration
APA took over as the total consultant from Mette Lange Architects in order to continue the high-quality work in line with the client's wishes. The multihouse was built with funding from various foundations, including pledges from LOA and Realdania. During the project, there was also an effort to comply with the Low Energy 2020 standard, which was successfully achieved.
