Retained Framework Agreement
03.02.2022
Alex Poulsen Architects and Viborg Engineers have retained the contract with the prison service!
Alex Poulsen Architects is the main consultant in a nationwide team, which, in addition to Viborg Engineers, consists of ERIK architects, OJ Consulting Engineers, and security specialist Molter Consult. All companies in the team have strong competencies and a long history in construction with high safety requirements and have previously solved numerous tasks for the Prison Service.
The agreement is valid for a four-year period starting in January 2022. In addition, the Prison Service has the option to extend the agreement for an additional three years.
“The Prison Service and Alex Poulsen Architects have collaborated to develop and maintain the country’s prisons and detention centers since 1955, so the joy and pride in the continuation of this collaboration is enormous.
With the Multi-Year Agreement for the Prison Service from December 2021, it has been laid out that the Prison Service will undertake several larger construction projects in the coming years to alleviate the current pressure on capacity, staff, and the existing physical facilities. With the companies included in the consulting team, the Prison Service will gain access to technical expertise and knowledge in the field that is not available from other consultants.
Alex Poulsen Architects and Viborg Engineers jointly managed the recently expired framework agreement, and with the expansion of the team to include ERIK architects, OJ Consulting Engineers, and Molter Consult, we can now better ensure local presence in all regions, a robust organization, as well as specialist knowledge in sustainability, restoration, and not least safety and security technology.”
