04.06.2019

In connection with the extensive expansion of Copenhagen airport, finger E — covering a total area of approximately 30,000 m² and with a construction budget of about 400 million DKK — is now ready for opening. Finger E, which expands the gate and stand capacity at the airport, is located in continuation of the existing finger D.

Client advisory from APA on a particularly complex task

In connection with the preparation of the construction program for Finger E, APA has provided extensive client advisory services in collaboration with NIRAS. The task was particularly complex and included the preparation of flow analyses, an illustrated construction program, etc., at the design proposal level, as well as the execution of an EU tender for overall consultancy with negotiations.

Throughout the construction, APA has acted as the client advisor, focusing in the later phases of the project on project review and ensuring the original intentions of the project.
“The task was relatively complex, and the client advisory part during the program phase was very comprehensive,” says Jonas Hviid Mønster, partner at Alex Poulsen Arkitekter, and continues, “We faced a significant challenge, and we are both proud of the impressive result and very pleased with the fantastic collaboration we have had throughout the process with all parties involved. Everyone on the team and all parties involved have worked intensely and with great enthusiasm to achieve the best solution—both during the process and especially in the long term.”
