Facts
Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen
The Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen represents a shared vision by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Capital Region of Denmark to deliver world-class treatment for diabetes patients, grounded in cutting-edge clinical research and education. The center’s state-of-the-art facilities include common spaces, treatment and clinic functions, research facilities with advanced laboratories, and office and staff areas designed to support seamless operations.
User-centered design
The center was developed with a strong focus on user experiences. From the early project phases, diverse user groups contributed to needs analyses, ensuring the facility meets the specific requirements of diabetes patients and enhances the daily workflows of staff. This collaborative approach has resulted in a building that optimizes treatment opportunities and creates a supportive environment for both patients and healthcare professionals.
